BiteUnite San Francisco teaches cooking classes in a loft in the Mission at 600 S Van Ness Ave. It is one branch of a group with kitchens in New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and other cities. Here the classes are led by a Bay Area chef community. The week has a clear pattern: rooftop Thai cooking on Saturdays, Sushi Sunday sessions, and pasta making on Sunday evenings. Baking classes cover croissants, macarons and Sunday donut making.
Public classes run on Fridays and weekends, and each booking needs at least two guests. A class lasts two to three hours. Ingredients, an apron and equipment are included, and you sit down to eat what you made at the end. Thai and sushi classes can be made vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free.
The loft also works well for groups. Private events and team building have a minimum payment of 10 guests, and the space seats 30 or more. Guests rate it 5.0 stars across 603 Google reviews.
