About Taste Buds Kitchen - San Jose - Willow Glen
Taste Buds Kitchen San Jose South belongs to a national franchise that began with a cupcake birthday party in New York in 2007. Its kitchen studio is at 1150 Foxworthy Avenue, near Almaden Valley, Cambrian Park and Santa Teresa. Kids cook here by day and adults by night. Every class is hands-on, and you cook in groups at shared tables.
Kids have the most choice. There are birthday parties with menus like Pizza Perfection and Battle Cupcake, and five-day summer camps such as Bakeshop and Culinary Travels. There are also school break camps, field trips, and Gingerbread House Decorating in November and December. Teens can try fresh pasta, sushi and Tasty Thai menus, plus an Advanced Teen Camp.
Adults come for date nights and multi-course menus made from scratch. They can also book private parties and corporate team building. The whole kitchen is nut-free, and some menus are gluten-free, dairy-free or egg-free. The kitchen has a 4.9 Google rating from 612 reviews.

How much is an adult class?
Adult cooking classes and date nights start at $90.10 per person and are for ages 18+.
Can I bring wine or beer?
The San Jose South kitchen lists BYOB events. Where outside drinks are allowed, guests 21+ can bring beer, wine or bubbly. Hard liquor is never allowed.
What if I need to change my booking?
Public classes are non-refundable. You can reschedule online up to 5 days before class, but not within 5 days. You can buy Class/Camp Protection when you book. It lets you cancel up to 5 hours before class for a kitchen credit.
Can the kitchen handle food allergies?
Every menu is nut-free, and some menus are gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free or vegan. You cook at group tables, so the kitchen can't change recipes for one person.
What do summer camps look like?
Camps run for five days, 3 hours a day. Ages 4 to 8 go in the morning, 9 to 13 in the afternoon, and there is an Advanced Teen Camp for ages 13 to 17. Registration for 2027 opens January 13, 2027 at 9 AM.
