Sur La Table's Brickell store is at 701 South Miami Avenue, Suite 338. Next to its shelves of cookware, knives and coffee gear is a teaching kitchen. Public classes are hands-on. You cook with three other guests at a shared, fully equipped workstation while a professional chef instructor leads the class. Then you eat the dishes family-style with your station. Portions are tastings, not full entrées, and the recipes arrive by email afterward.
Most classes run 2 to 2½ hours. Specialty baking classes go up to 3 hours, and short technique sessions last 1 hour. In-store classes start at $49 per person and are capped at 20 people. Most are for ages 14 and up.
The store also hosts private classes for birthdays, bridal showers and corporate team building. Menus can be adjusted for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergy needs. Live classes on Zoom are another option. The store has a 5 rating from 2,138 Google reviews.

Most classes are for ages 14 and up, and minors must come with a paying adult. Some classes are 18+, which the class page will say.
Cancel 48 or more hours before class for a full refund, a gift card or a swap into another class. Inside 48 hours there are no refunds, but you can send someone in your place.
Sur La Table doesn't serve alcohol. Some locations allow BYOB beer and wine, so call the Brickell store to check.
