North Shore kitchen studio for kids, caregiver-and-me, family and BYOB adult classes
Taste Buds Kitchen Bannockburn teaches several age groups in one kitchen on the North Shore. Kids' classes and school-break camps are one track, with this fall's Pumpkin Palooza camp for ages 4 to 10 making pumpkin mac and cheese cupcakes, loaf cakes and pie bites. Caregiver & Me classes are for ages 2 to 8 with a grown-up, and this season's menus include Creepy Crawly Cupcakes, Mummy Pizza and Spider Donuts. Family classes, like the Mummy Pizza Party, start at age 6.
Adults get their own evenings. These BYOB classes are hands-on and run on set menus: Julia's Kitchen (beef bourguignon and chocolate truffles, 21 and over), Ramen Bowls, Incredible Handmade Pizza and Handmade Pumpkin Ravioli, all for 18 and over. Menus rotate through pasta, pizza, sushi, dumplings, baking and seasonal themes. The facility is nut-free, and the listings mark dietary notes such as vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free.
